Finished copies of A Good Catch arrived in the warehouse in September 2008. Books should be landing in a store near you soon. If you can't find a copy, you can order it online through amazon.ca.
A Good Catch contains more than seventy recipes that feature saltwater and freshwater fish and shellfish. Researching the book and testing the recipes certainly expanded my culinary horizons: I cooked octopus, filleted sardines and trout, and wrestled a whole salmon on the barbeque. I ate geoduck for the very first time and was amazed at its light sweet freshness. I learned to love sablefish. I swore off tropical prawns and invested in a supply of local spot prawns. I ate mackerel. I fed my kids tilapia. I learned that part of making good fish choices is expanding the list of fish we're willing to eat and giving over-fished species a bit of a break. I loved every bite of it. I hope you enjoy the recipes in A Good Catch as much as I do.
